Metinvest has successfully completed the registration of all its products under European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006, REACH).

Metinvest is the first in Ukraine to produce rebars with negative tolerance according to DSTU 3760-2006 standard. In November 2010 the first lot of with enhanced quality rebars from Makeevka I and SW (MMZ) has found its customers.

25 October 2010 — Metinvest. Organizational changes and management appointments.

Jack MacLachlan, who was formerly holding the office of the director of Steel and rolled products division (SRPD) of Metinvest, has been appointed Chief Technical Officer of METINVEST HOLDING, LLC. Mr MacLachlan will be responsible for the new corporate strategy of technological development. Alexander Pogozhev has been appointed the director of Steel and rolled products division. Mr Pogozhev will be responsible for the efficient management of the Division along with strategic, tactical and short term business tasks connected with the development of steelmaking enterprises of Metinvest Group and Sales Service of the SRPD.

24 March 2010 — Metinvest commenced rolled metal shipments from its new metal bases in Voronezh and Volgograd.

Metinvest-Eurasia has put two new service metal centers in Voronezh and Volgograd into operation.

19 March 2010 — Metinvest makes personnel moves

Dmitriy Nikolayenko, holding the CEO position of OJSC Metinvest-SMC will act as Head of Sales Service in Steel and Rolled Products Division, Metinvest Holding. Former Head of Sales Service Andrey Parkhomchuk made the decision to continue his career outside the company. Marian Maksymovych, Metinvest International SA Financial Director, will act as CEO of Metinvest International SA.
