15 September 2011 — Metinvest has won tender for the supply of pipes for East – West gas pipeline

Metinvest, international vertically-integrated group of Companies, has won tender of Turkmengaz and will supply 150 ths. tons of pipes to be produced by Khartsyzsk Tube Works for the implementation of East-West project.

20 July 2011 — Metinvest SMC expands its product mix with pipes

Metinvest SMC, a Metinvest’s network of service metal centers in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, starts selling pipes of Ilyich Steel make at its warehouses. Since the third quarter Metinvest SMC has become the only Company selling the product through own network of service metal centers. The expansion of product mix at warehouses will enable to improve servicing and optimize logistic expenses of Company’s clients.

31 May 2011 — Metinvest becomes one of the priority sales channels for Moldavian Steel Works

Starting the end of May 2011, Metinvest, a vertically integrated group of metals and mining companies, will commence sales of products from Moldavian Steel Works (MMZ). Nearly 33,000 tonnes of products will be shipped for Metinvest during the first month of production. Long rolled steel will be sold in Ukrainian market through the retail network of service metal centers of Metinvest SMC, LLC and the wholesale trade channel — Metinvest Ukraine — as well as to export markets through Metinvest Eurasia & Metinvest-International.

6 December 2010 — Metinvest’s Products are REACH Registered.

Metinvest has successfully completed the registration of all its products under European Community Regulation on chemicals and their safe use (EC 1907/2006, REACH).

19 November 2010 — Metinvest is the first in Ukraine to produce rebars with negative tolerance

Metinvest is the first in Ukraine to produce rebars with negative tolerance according to DSTU 3760-2006 standard. In November 2010 the first lot of with enhanced quality rebars from Makeevka I and SW (MMZ) has found its customers.
