Metinvest International is part of the Metinvest Group, combining various product ranges with extensive logistics services, managing orders from purchase of raw material to delivery at their final destination.

Today, Metinvest International is a truly global steel solutions company with a wide range of products distributed worldwide from Metinvest Group’s production sites in Ukraine and Western Europe.

Metinvest International SA is the distribution channel of Steel and Rolled Products Division’s Sales Service of METINVEST HOLDING LLC. It is responsible for export sales of iron ore raw materials, semi-finished and finished steel products manufactured by Metinvest Group mining and steelmaking companies onto foreign markets outside Ukraine and CIS.

Throughout the years Metinvest International has developed a global sales network covering all major regional market segments worldwide.

The company has representations in Istanbul (Turkey), Beirut (Lebanon), Beijing (China), Milan (Italy), Belgrade (Serbia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), and Singapore (Singapore).

It enjoys an enhanced presence across the other markets with its confirmed agents’ networks such as in the Dominican Republic to cover Central and South America, and in Canada servicing customers in North America.

As part of the Ukrainian-based Metinvest Group, Metinvest International has continuously widened its range of services, especially in logistics, shipping and cargo insurance, by maximizing synergies between its activities and those of the Group’s other companies.

Unlike other trading companies, Metinvest International’s key advantage is that it has access to the full range of the Metinvest Group’s production, which guarantees a high level of stability for its sourcing and its trading activities.

Due to our proximity to and long-term close relations with major European commercial banks, we have been able to help our clients in finding wide range of financial instruments and payment options for their purchases.

The company’s head-quarters office is based in Geneva. It employs more than 200 people.

2008 Performance at a glance

In 2008, Metinvest International continued its strong growth despite the unfavorable world economic situation in the last quarter:

• The net annual sales rose by 75% to USD 6.5 billion.
• The sales volume of steel products increased by 21.7% to 12.7 million metric tons.

Today, Metinvest International handles 9% of the world market for pipes, 4% for merchant slabs, 12% for merchant square billets, and 4% for heavy plates.
